Sheltered Housing

Sheltered housing provides independent living in a secure environment for older people.
WHAT IS SHELTERED HOUSING?
Sheltered housing provides independent living in a secure environment for older people. Each resident has their own front door with their own kitchen area and bathroom. Care and support are provided by a resident on-site scheme manager with back up provided through an alarm system connected to a call centre.
All flats are available for monthly rent and are not for sale. Rents are affordable and with the service charges are inclusive of most running costs.
WHERE ARE THE PROPERTIES
Radcliffe has two sheltered housing schemes both of which are in Burnt Ash Lane near Sundridge Park in Bromley. The flats are close to local facilities with good bus links to Bromley. St Andrews House has 24 flats and Lloyd House offers 34. Each scheme has a residents’ lounge area offering a range of social activities and private communal gardens.
HOW TO APPLY
Contact the Housing Manager at Radcliffe Housing Society on 01732 459144 for an application form. Once completed a home visit will be arranged so that the Housing Manager can make sure sheltered housing meets your housing needs and to answer any questions you may have.
Visits to the schemes can be arranged by appointment and without obligation. Friends or relatives are welcome to visit with you.
Once accepted, you will join our waiting list. While it is difficult to be exact about the waiting time the average is approximately six months. When a property is available for you to view you will be contacted direct, usually by telephone.
