Tenant Wellbeing Checks

We are aware that our tenants like many people across the country are experiencing elements of social isolation and mental health deprivation due to our current national restrictions. COVID-19 has brought about change in a significant way to our routines and daily lives. With the Government targeting the vaccination to older-age groups and those with underlying health conditions, we remain hopeful that the national situation will improve.

However, the impact of the last 12 months still poses problems. We are acutely aware that many of our tenants are experiencing financial hardship, perhaps lost their job or are having to take on the additional efforts of home schooling children due to school closures, maybe even whilst working, grieving or personally suffering the ill-effects of COVID-19.

We are doing our best to reach our most vulnerable tenants and are currently targeting our older and hard to reach tenants by conducting welfare checks. Don’t be alarmed if you are contacted by a member of our staff, we are simply just ensuring that you’re doing the best you can with the conditions we are all under.

We will check:

  • whether you’re able to get shopping
  • have a significant loss of income
  • have regular contact with family members or carers
  • and determine whether there’s any additional support we can provide for you
