Radcliffe Housing Society Is a successful small independent Registered Provider of affordable rented homes.

Our properties are mainly situated across South London boroughs. We have a small number of properties in Tunbridge Wells, Hastings, Lingfield and Sevenoaks. We have 359 general needs properties with 61 sheltered units for older people in Bromley and 12 in Hastings. Radcliffe also manages 49 leasehold properties.

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, you will be responsible for all our financial activity – so you will need to be a first-rate professional accountant with the ability to be both strategic and hands on. Specific responsibilities for the post include, Financial leadership, Treasury management, Risk management, Regulatory compliance and Resources management (HR and ICT). Company secretary experience would be ideal.

Radcliffe has a strong financial base and plans over the long term to ensure the future viability of the business. Our Strategic plan for 2020 – 2023 continues to build on what the organisation has already achieved. Against the backdrop of change (both internal and external), we have continued to earn our place as a leading smaller housing provider.

We are seeking an experienced accountant to take up the role of Treasurer with Radcliffe Housing Society. We are a small registered provider based in Sevenoaks Kent with properties across the South East. We are looking for a motivated individual who will serve as Group Treasurer for the organisation along with having a seat on our main Board.

The ideal candidate will bring to the Board strong skills and experience in Finance and Treasury Management. You will also have a good understanding of the principles of good governance and risk management.

The key criteria for this post is an ability to contribute to the development of strategy at Board level and work collectively with the Board to help articulate a vision for the future. We are looking for someone with strategic experience gained in either a public or private body.

Further Information:

The position is voluntary (reasonable expenses paid) and there are 4 Board meetings per year currently held in Sevenoaks (currently remotely). In addition to Board Meetings, Board Members are expected to attended Radcliffe’s AGM, Strategic Away day: relevant Finance Committee twice a year (held before board meetings)
